Lena is the Deputy Director General of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
Lena previously served as the Executive Director of Sweden´s Digitalisation Commission tasked with the goal of making Sweden the best in the world at utilising the benefits of digitalisation. She has held multiple roles at the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, as well as has headed up the Swedish Governments European Union negotiations in Brussels on innovation, industrial policy and ICT policy. In addition to her work in the public sector, Lena has significant experience in the private sector as a strategy and digital transformation executive assisting clients in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US make the most of the opportunities afforded by the digital economy.
Lena currently serves on the advisory board of the Swedish Press and Broadcasting Agency. Past board appointments include the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and vice chair of the Governmental Advisory Committee to ICANN.
Lena holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management as well as Master of Laws degrees from Stockholm University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
