Ben Seet is the Group Chief Research Officer of the National Healthcare Group in Singapore. He was formerly Executive Director of the Biomedical Research Council at the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR), where he oversaw research and innovation spanning the pharmaceutical, biotech, health tech, food and consumer industries.
Prior to joining A*STAR, Dr Seet served a 22-year military career, during which he held the appointments of Chief of the SAF Medical Corps and Chief Army Medical Officer. Dr Seet also served as Chief Medical Officer of the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations in New York. He has served on the boards and advisory committees of various public agencies, academic institutions and companies. He holds a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from National University of Singapore, Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, and a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
