Mr. Jan Hellåker is the Chairman of Drive Sweden, a strategic innovation program launched by the Swedish government to design the next generation mobility services, based on connected, driverless and shared vehicles, in a cross-functional, collaborative process. Before assuming the Chairmanship in early 2019, Jan was the Executive Program Director of Drive Sweden during its first four years of operation, and was instrumental behind the growth of Drive Sweden to now involve 130+ partner organizations from all around the world.
Prior to joining Drive Sweden, Jan spent 25+ years in advanced research within the Volvo Group, his last position there was Vice President of Transport Solutions & Services.
In 1999 he was the founder and first CEO of WirelessCar, a global telematics service provider to vehicle manufacturers.
Jan started his career with Ericsson, and earned his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
