Horst Wasel, a German citizen, has more than 35 years experience in Atlas Copco. He started his long and
fruitful Atlas Copco career in 1983 when he joined Atlas Copco Energas in Germany as Mechanical
Development Engineer, after which he held several Engineering positions. He was appointed as Testbed
Manager for Atlas Copco Energas in 1989 and in 1994, was appointed as Manufacturing Manager for Atlas
In 1999 he moved to the United States where he became General Manager for Rotoflow, a company within
the O&G business. In 2001 he moved to the Netherlands as General Manager in Atlas Copco Netherlands’
Customer Center. In 2002, he returned to the United Stated in Houston, Texas to Atlas Copco RSC- Rental
Service Cooperation and in 2006 he was appointed as Vice President for USA Prime Energy. He was then
appointed as Vice President Marketing Rental and moved to Belgium in 2007. During his time in Belgium he
was appointed as President of Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division in March 2012, and then in 2012 was
appointed Atlas Copco Quality Air President. He returned again, to the United States as Atals Copco Medical
Gas Solution Division President in 2014 2014. In January 2017, he moved to Singapore and as Vice President
for Atlas Copco in Southeast Asia Holding.
Over the years he has built up broad international experience, and today he is the Chairperson and has
Legal Board responsibility for Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar.
Horst Wasel holds a degree in Technische Hochschule Koeln Mechanical Engineering - Diplom Ingenieur
