Dear participants at the Sweden-Southeast Asia Business Summit,

Thank you for signing up to take part in this flagship event. It is with great regret that we have to inform you that we have decided to cancel the event based on the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus. Yesterday the Ministry of Health upgraded the DORSCOM to Code Orange (explained here: https://www.moh.gov.sg/diseases-updates/being-prepared-for-a-pandemic ) and also issued a recommendation that all non-essential large scale events should be cancelled or deferred. In consultation with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Business Sweden and local counterparts we have concluded that cancelling the “Summit” is the correct decision at this juncture as the health and well-being of our participants is our top priority. Over the course of the last few days it has also become clear that a number of our main speakers would cancel their participation.

It is our intention to seek a new date for the event when circumstances are right and we look forward to welcoming you as participants then!

To this end, we aim to keep your contact details in order to reach out once a new date has been agreed. If you object to this, please let us know and we will remove your details from the list.

Again, we thank you for your interest in being part of this event and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.

On behalf of the Organising Team - Embassy of Sweden, Business Sweden and SwedCham

About the Summit:

Join us for an intense 1,5 days of insightful presentations and conversations on Southeast Asia, one of the most exciting and dynamic regions in the world!

Following two successful gatherings in Singapore (2016) and Kuala Lumpur (2018) the 3rd edition of the “Sweden-Southeast Asia Business Summit” will be held in Singapore on February 13-14, 2020. With an average growth of 5-6 percent, a rapidly growing middle class and heavy investments expected in infrastructure, the region is of strategic importance in a time of trade tensions, a shifting geopolitical landscape and technological and supply chain disruption.

The Summit provides a unique platform for sharing of best practices on doing business in the region. It also offers Southeast Asian political and business leaders an opportunity to learn more about what Swedish companies can offer in strategic areas such as Smart Cities, healthcare/MedTech and Industry 4.0 as well as Swedish experience of sustainable and responsible business.

The “Sweden Southeast Asia Business Summit” is a joint effort by “Team Sweden” in Southeast Asia, organized by the Embassy of Sweden, Business Sweden and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
